War 2 Collection Day 12: Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR Film Fails Monday Test, Sees Big Drop at The Box office on Day 12

Mumbai, 25 August 2025: The Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR starrer, “War 2”, has faced a major setback at the box office. The film, which was released on 14 August 2025, saw a steep fall in its collection on its 12th day.

As per Insiders, the movie earned just ₹2.15 crore on Monday, 25 August 2025. This is a huge drop from its weekend earnings and shows that the film is losing its momentum.

“War 2” had a decent opening and managed to hold its ground for the first few days. It is a part of the YRF Spy Universe and had high expectations. The film, also starring Kiara Advani and directed by Ayan Mukerji, had a good second weekend.

On Saturday and Sunday, it collected ₹6.5 crore and ₹7.25 crore, respectively. This helped the film cross the ₹220 crore mark in India.

War 2 Total Box Office Collection Day 12

Including Day 12, the total collection of the War 2 movie now stands at ₹224.15 Crore net at the Indian box office.

However, the Monday collections show a worrying trend. The drop is more than 75% compared to Sunday’s earnings. This is a significant sign that a film is slowing down. The low numbers also reflect in the theatre occupancy, which was around 5% in the morning shows.

Despite the drop, “War 2” has done well globally. It has already crossed the ₹300 crore mark worldwide. In 11 days, the War 2 film has earned ₹265 crore gross from India and ₹75 crore from overseas markets. However, the film needs to perform a lot better to be a true box office success, given its high budget of around ₹450 crore. In my opinion Movie may recover its budget; it’s a Flop.

It remains to be seen if “War 2” can pick up pace in the coming days. The film needs to maintain a steady collection to reach a respectable lifetime number. With new films coming out, it will be a big challenge for “War 2” to survive at the box office.
