Coolie Collection Day 11
On Sunday, Day 11 of its release, “Coolie” crossed a big milestone, entering the exclusive ₹255 crore club in India.
The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was released on August 14 to mark Rajinikanth’s 50th year in the film industry. It opened with a massive bang. The first weekend was very strong. The movie earned more than ₹194 crore in just its first four days. This showed the huge power of Rajinikanth’s star name.

But the situation changed after the Independence Day weekend. Weekday collections saw a huge drop. Fans and trade experts were a bit worried. The film’s collections are going down day by day. Friday’s collections have dropped to Rs 5-6 crore from over Rs 12 crore on Monday.
But the second weekend has brought a lot of relief to the makers. On its second Saturday, the film showed a big jump. The collections grew by almost 80%. This was a very good sign. It helped the film bounce back.

According to Industry Insiders, “Coolie” has earned around ₹11.15 crore on its 11th day, Sunday. This number is expected to be higher once the late-night shows are counted. With this new collection, the total money earned by the film in India is now ₹257.15 crore.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie
“Coolie” is a pan-India film. It was released in five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. This helped the film reach a wider audience. The Tamil version of the film has been the biggest earner.
On Sunday, the Tamil occupancy was around 34.66%. The Hindi version also showed some growth with an occupancy of about 13.88%.

The film’s worldwide collection is also strong. On Day 10, the film’s global gross was a massive ₹464 crore. It has now surpassed the lifetime earnings of major Bollywood films like Salman Khan’s “Tiger 3” and Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki.” The film is now getting close to the ₹500 crore worldwide mark. If it reaches this number, it will be the fourth Tamil film to do so. Two of the other films are also Rajinikanth’s own “2.0” and “Jailer.”
“Coolie” stars a big cast. Apart from Rajinikanth, it features actors like Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj, and Shruti Haasan. Bollywood stars Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde also have short, special roles.

Despite getting mixed reviews from critics, the film has found love from the audience, especially from Rajinikanth’s fans. The second weekend’s good performance proves that the film still has a lot of steam left. It shows that the film is a winner at the box office. “Coolie” is set to continue its run in theaters and add more money to its total.
