“Mirai” has been a big success since it came out on Friday, September 12, 2025. It opened with a good collection of Rs 13 crore. On Saturday, it earned Rs 15 crore, and on Sunday, it collected Rs 17 crore. The drop on Monday is a normal thing for movies after the weekend.
Comparing “Mirai” with “Hanu-Man”
Teja Sajja’s previous movie, “Hanu-Man,” was a big hit earlier this year. Many people are comparing “Mirai” with “Hanu-Man.” “Hanu-Man” earned Rs 8 crore on its first day. “Mirai” has opened better with Rs 13 crore.
However, “Hanu-Man” had a very long run. It made over Rs 200 crore in India. The first four days are good for “Mirai,” but it has to keep earning well to match “Hanu-Man’s” total success.
“Mirai” has collected more than “Hanu-Man” in its first weekend. “Hanu-Man” had collected Rs 29.55 crore in its first three days. “Mirai” has collected Rs 44.50 crore in the same time. This shows a very good start for “Mirai.”
How “Mirai” is doing compared to other movies
“Mirai” is also doing better than some other recent movies. It had a better opening than Naga Chaitanya’s “Thandel,” which earned Rs 11.50 crore on day one. But it is behind bigger movies like Vijay Deverakonda’s “Kingdom” (Rs 18 crore) and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Daaku Maharaaj” (Rs 25.35 crore).
It is also doing better than Bollywood movies that were released on the same day. Films like “Ek Chatur Naar” and “Love in Vietnam” have failed at the box office. “Mirai” is a clear winner among all the new releases.
The movie’s success is not just in the Telugu states. It is also doing well in the Hindi market. The Hindi-dubbed version is earning good money. This is a big plus point. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is helping to distribute the film in North India. This has helped the movie get more screens and reach more people.
Why “Mirai” is a success
“Mirai” is a fantasy action movie. The story is based on ancient Indian mythology. People are liking its new story and great visual effects. The acting of Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj is also being praised.
The movie has a budget of about Rs 60 crore. It has already earned a big part of its budget back in just four days. This is a very good sign for the producers.
The movie is now facing its first big test, the weekday run. The collection on Monday shows that people are still going to watch the movie. The coming days will be important to see if “Mirai” can become another blockbuster like “Hanu-Man.”
