‘Baahubali: The Epic’ — 5 Reasons to Watch (or Skip) the Single-Cut Film
5 Reasons to Watch Baahubali: The Epic and 5 Reasons to Skip
Hyderabad, Saturday, 01 November 2025: S. S. Rajamouli’s epic film series is back! The two famous movies, ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion,’ have been joined together. They are now one big movie called ‘Baahubali: The Epic.’ It releases on October 31.
Baahubali: The Epic
This new cut is shorter than watching both films separately. The total runtime is now around 3 hours and 44 minutes. The makers have remastered the visuals and sound. This makes the film look and sound even better than before. But should you watch this long film in the theatre again? Or is it okay to skip it? Here are 5 reasons to help you decide.

Reasons to WATCH ‘Baahubali: The Epic’
1. The Real Cinematic Scale
This movie was made for the big screen. Everything in the film is huge. Think of the massive Mahishmati kingdom. Think of the giant waterfall that Prabhas (as Shivudu) tries to climb. These scenes look amazing on a small TV, but they are breathtaking in an IMAX theatre. The remastered 4K quality and Dolby Atmos sound make the visuals even richer and the music even louder.
2. One Uninterrupted Story
For the first time, you can watch the entire saga without a break. You don’t have to wait two years to find out “Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?” The story flows from the son (Mahendra) finding his path to the father’s (Amarendra) life and ultimate betrayal. The editor has carefully trimmed some parts. This makes the story crisp and much faster-paced. This single-film experience is how the director originally thought of the story.
3. New Technical Polish
The film’s visual effects (VFX) were already amazing for an Indian movie. Now, they have been polished and upgraded. The sound has been totally re-done in Dolby Atmos. This advanced sound system means the war cries and the music by M. M. Keeravani will surround you. It makes the war sequences feel real and intense.
4. Relive The Theatre Experience
👏 Baahubali was not just a film; it was an event. Watching the film again with a large crowd in the theatre is a special feeling. The moment the famous twist comes, or when Prabhas makes his heroic entry, the cheers and applause from the audience cannot be matched by watching it at home.
5. Catch What You Missed
👀 Because the film is so big, people often miss small details. This new version is a chance to watch the grand epic again. You can focus on the performances by Ramya Krishnan (Sivagami) and Rana Daggubati (Bhallaladeva). Their acting is even clearer in this continuous cut.

❌ Reasons to SKIP ‘Baahubali: The Epic’
1. The Runtime is Very Long
Even with cuts, the movie is still almost 4 hours long (3 hours and 44 minutes). This is a very long time to sit in a cinema hall. For many viewers, sitting for nearly four hours without a break can be tiring. You may prefer to watch the movies at home with a pause button.
2. You Know The Full Story
If you have watched ‘The Beginning’ and ‘The Conclusion’ many times, you know the story by heart. There are no major new scenes added. The surprise factor is gone. If you are only looking for brand new content, you may be disappointed. This is a re-edited version, not a new movie.
3. Lost Romantic Moments
To keep the runtime short, the director S. S. Rajamouli has removed some songs and scenes. Major portions of the love story between Shivudu and Avanthika (Tamannaah Bhatia) have been trimmed. If you loved these lighter, romantic moments, you might miss them in the new, faster-paced cut.
4. Small Cuts May Feel Rushed
The goal was to make a single, non-stop story. Some critics feel that a few emotional scenes and war episodes have been cut too much. This might make the film feel a little rushed in places, especially if you loved the details of the original versions.
5. Already Available on OTT
The original two parts are easily available on streaming platforms. You can watch them anytime, at your own speed, and with breaks. For people who want to save the cost of a theatre ticket, watching the original parts on a good home screen might be enough.
