Los Angeles, September 24, 2025: The ballroom on Dancing with the Stars saw its first big shock of Season 34. Two couples were eliminated on Tuesday night during a special “One-Hit Wonders Night” episode.
After combining scores from the first two weeks and the votes from the audience, actor Corey Feldman and NBA champion Baron Davis were sent home. The show now has 12 couples left in the competition.
A Tough Night for Everyone
The elimination was especially tough because it was the first of the season. No one was sent home in the premiere episode. This meant two people had to leave the show in one night. The pressure was on for all the contestants to perform well and get high scores.
The judges’ scores from both Week 1 and Week 2 were added together with the public votes. This decided who was safe and who was at the bottom.
Dancing with the Stars – Performances and Scores
Corey Feldman, known for films like The Goonies, and his partner Jenna Johnson were in a difficult spot from the start. Their Week 2 performance was a Cha Cha to the song “Baby Got Back.” They tried to be energetic and fun. But the judges were not impressed. They gave the couple a low score of 15 out of 30. When combined with their Week 1 score, their total was the lowest of all the contestants. This made their elimination a sad but expected moment.
Baron Davis, the former NBA star, and his partner Britt Stewart also faced a tough time. They performed a Samba to “Return of the Mack.” The judges said that Baron had a lot of potential. However, he made a costly mistake during the dance. The judges pointed it out, and their score was not high enough to keep them safe. Baron’s total score after two weeks was also in the bottom three, which led to his elimination.
The Competition Gets Real
The other couple in the bottom three was Hilaria Baldwin and her partner, Gleb Savchenko. But they were declared safe. This meant they would continue on to Week 3. The show now gets very serious for the remaining contestants. The scores and the votes from the audience will become even more important.
On the other end of the leaderboard, there were some very strong performances. Wildlife expert Robert Irwin and his partner Witney Carson once again proved they are a force to be reckoned with. They tied for the top spot with another couple, Whitney Leavitt and her partner Mark Ballas. This shows that the competition is getting hotter at the top as well.
The first double elimination was a big reminder to everyone that in this show, every single dance and every single vote counts. The journey to the Mirrorball Trophy is a very tough one. It will be interesting to see who rises to the challenge in the coming weeks. Next week’s theme is “TikTok Night,” where the remaining couples will dance to viral songs.
