Hyderabad, October 14, 2025 – The release of actor Prabhas’ much-awaited film, ‘The Raja Saab,’ has faced a big delay. Now, the film’s producer has spoken out about the reason. He is blaming the VFX supervisor for the long hold-up.
Producer TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory spoke in a recent interview. He made serious allegations against the supervisor of Visual Effects (VFX). He said the supervisor was working in an “extortion mode.”
Serious Charges Against ‘The Raja Saab’ VFX Supervisor
The producer did not directly name the person. But he said the supervisor caused major problems for the team. The horror-comedy film was supposed to be released much earlier. The original plan was to release it in April 2025. Now, it has been pushed to January 9, 2026. This new date is to match the big Sankranthi festival release window.
Prabhas ‘The Raja Saab’ Release Delayed Reason
Vishwa Prasad alleged that the VFX supervisor did not do any work on the film for many months. He claimed that the supervisor kept taking a monthly salary for his whole team. The producer said, “He didn’t work on a single frame.”
He also alleged that the supervisor was threatening the director, Maruthi. The supervisor reportedly told the director he would quit if anyone questioned him. This kind of behaviour caused the film’s schedule to go completely wrong.
Focus Shifted to ‘Pushpa 2’
The producer gave another reason for the supervisor’s delay. He claimed that the supervisor had become very busy with another big movie. That movie is ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ starring Allu Arjun.
Since the supervisor’s attention went to ‘Pushpa 2,’ the work for ‘The Raja Saab’ was stopped. Vishwa Prasad said that no work on their film was done until October 2024. This made the big delay happen.
The producer also mentioned that this individual has a history of causing issues. He even claimed that the person was recently removed from SS Rajamouli’s upcoming project. Vishwa Prasad said he will make sure the supervisor faces the consequences for his alleged “extortion tactics.”

High Expectations for the Film
Despite these problems, the team is now moving forward. They have recently released the trailer for ‘The Raja Saab’. This has created a lot of excitement among Prabhas’ fans.
The film is a romantic horror-comedy. It is a new type of role for Prabhas. The trailer shows Prabhas in a dual role, playing both a younger character and his own grandfather. The movie also stars famous actors like Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, and Nidhhi Agerwal.
The production house is now working hard to meet the new January 2026 deadline. The film will release as a pan-India movie in five languages: Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Fans are waiting for the movie to finally hit the big screens without any more delays.
