The film has already achieved several milestones. It crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India in just 21 days. This made it only the third Malayalam film to achieve this feat. It is also the highest-grossing Malayalam film in its original language, surpassing the collections of other big hits.

It has also become the highest-grossing female-led film from South Indian cinema, and one of the top 5 female-led films in all of Indian cinema, beating films like Alia Bhatt’s “Raazi.”

The film was made on a budget of around Rs 30 crore. It has earned many times its cost, making it a very profitable venture for the makers. The film is produced by actor Dulquer Salmaan’s production banner, Wayfarer Films.

The film is still running in cinemas in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. With its fantastic run, “Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra” has laid a strong foundation for a superhero cinematic universe in Malayalam cinema. Fans are now eagerly waiting for the next chapters.
