Kesari Chapter 2 performed well on the third day in some key regions, especially among Hindi cinema audiences. The overall occupancy rate of cinema halls in Mumbai is 20%, with 753 screenings. The National Capital Region (NCR) had an attendance of 18%, with 916 visitors.
The situation in Pune is slightly better, with 22% occupancy in 281 projects. Bangalore also performed better than expected with 23% occupancy in 259 viewings. The percentage dropped to 17 per cent in Hyderabad, where there were 138 events.
The film performed slightly worse in Kolkata, with 12% audience and 199 screenings. Ahmedabad has an occupancy rate of 13% from 506 displays. On the other hand, the film performed well in Chennai and garnered 31% box office collection from 47 cinemas.
The footfalls of the film were very low in Surat, with only 8% of the audience attending 256 screenings. The share went up to 22% in Jaipur with 141 shows. The occupancy rates in Chandigarh and Bhopal were 12% and 14%, with 131 and 64 people turning up, respectively. Similarly, Lucknow saw a drop of 14 per cent with 129 screenings held.
Overall, Kesari Chapter 2 is average in some aspects but good in others. It remains to be seen how much the film manages to impress the audience when it hits theatres this week.
