De De Pyaar De 2 Day 5 Box Office: Early Week Patterns — Is Movie Building an Audience or Burning Out?
De De Pyaar De 2 shows a small Day 5 jump after a steep Monday drop. See Tuesday’s collection, total box office, and whether the film is burning out
19 November 2025, Mumbai: The first Tuesday is always a big test for any Bollywood film. For De De Pyaar De 2, this test was even more important after a sharp fall on Monday. The Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh starrer had a decent weekend, but the weekdays are showing a different story.
On its fifth day (Tuesday), the movie showed a small sign of relief, but is it enough? Let’s look at the detailed box office report for Day 5.
De De Pyaar De 2 Day 5 Collection: A Small Jump on Discount Day
After a scary drop on Monday, De De Pyaar De 2 managed to hold its ground on Tuesday. In many big cinema chains, Tuesday is a discount day. This helped the movie get some audience back.
The movie collected in the range of ₹ 4.50 Crore to ₹ 4.75 Crore on Day 5.
- Day 5 (Tuesday) Collection: ₹ 4.50 Cr – ₹ 4.75 Cr
- Growth: Slight jump from Monday (approx 10-12%)
This small jump is good news, but the numbers are still on the lower side for a big star cast film. The total collection of the movie now stands near ₹ 43.50 Crore.

Weekend vs Weekdays: The Trend So Far
To understand if the movie is building an audience or burning out, we need to look at the pattern from Friday to Tuesday.
The movie started with ₹ 8.75 Crore on Friday. It saw good growth on Saturday and Sunday, taking the weekend total to over ₹ 34 Crore. However, the “Monday Test” was harsh. The collection dropped by more than 50% compared to Friday, which is a worrying sign.
Day-Wise Breakup:
- Day 1 (Friday): ₹ 8.75 Cr
- Day 2 (Saturday): ₹ 12.25 Cr
- Day 3 (Sunday): ₹ 13.75 Cr
- Day 4 (Monday): ₹ 4.25 Cr
- Day 5 (Tuesday): ₹ 4.50 Cr (Early Estimates)
- Total: ₹ 43.50 Cr (Approx)
The pattern shows that the movie is struggling to attract the working audience on weekdays. The youth and families came on the weekend, but the “must-watch” factor seems to be missing for the weekdays.
Is the Movie Burning Out?
The title of the movie says “Give Me Love” (De De Pyaar De), but the audience is giving mixed signals.
- The Monday Drop: A drop of 50% or more on Monday usually means the movie might not run for long. De De Pyaar De 2 faced this drop.
- Tuesday Hope: The slight rise on Tuesday is purely because of ticket offers. It is not organic growth.
- Competition: With no other big releases right now, the movie has a free run. But it is not using this advantage fully.
If the movie drops again on Wednesday, it will confirm that the film is burning out. It needs to stay above ₹ 4 Crore tomorrow to have a chance at a respectable lifetime total.
Opinion
De De Pyaar De 2 is walking on thin ice. The Tuesday jump is a “band-aid,” not a cure. The movie is missing the strong word-of-mouth that the first part had in 2019. Unless the film holds steady on Wednesday and Thursday, the dream of reaching the ₹ 100 Crore club looks very difficult. It seems the audience is waiting for the OTT release rather than rushing to theaters.
