Zende, played by Manoj Bajpayee. He is on a mission to catch a dangerous criminal named Carl Bhojraj, who is played by Jim Sarbh. Carl Bhojraj’s character is inspired by the real serial killer Charles Sobhraj.

The film shows a cat-and-mouse chase. The criminal, Carl, escapes from Tihar Jail after a big party where he drugged the guards. Inspector Zende, a Mumbai cop, is given the task of finding him. The story is a fun and thrilling race across different cities. The film shows the old-school policing style of the 1970s and 80s, which relied on cleverness and hard work, not on modern technology like CCTV.
“Inspector Zende” is directed by Chinmay Mandlekar. This is his first time directing a Hindi film. The movie also has other talented actors like Sachin Khedekar, Girija Oak, and Bhalchandra Kadam.
