The Main Story: A New Enemy Rises
In Season 2, Srikant Tiwari faces a new and deadly enemy. He has to fight a group of Sri Lankan Tamil rebels who join hands with the ISI (Pakistan’s spy agency). The rebels are led by a fierce fighter named Raji. Their plan is to kill the Prime Minister of India, Basu.
Quick Recap: Season 2 Episode Guide

Episode 1: Exile
Srikant has quit TASC. He now works a boring 9-to-5 corporate job in an IT company to make his wife, Suchitra, happy. He struggles with his boss, who is younger than him and very annoying. Meanwhile, in the south, a group of dangerous rebels starts planning a big attack. We also meet Raji, who is working quietly in a factory in Chennai.
Episode 2: Weapon
Srikant tries to be a “Family Man” but fails. He and Suchitra go for marriage counseling, but it is very awkward. Srikant misses the thrill of his old job. At TASC, JK and the new boss are tracking a plan involving the Sri Lankan rebels. (According to a Times Now recap, this episode perfectly shows Srikant’s frustration with normal life).
Episode 3: Angel of Death
The sleeping lion wakes up. Raji kills her boss, who tries to harass her, revealing her true fighting skills. This alerts the police and TASC. Srikant cannot stay away anymore. He quits his IT job in a dramatic style and rejoins TASC. He immediately flies to Chennai to join JK.
Episode 4: Eagle
Srikant and JK start their investigation in Chennai. They team up with a local officer named Muthu. They try to track down the rebels but realize that the enemy is very well-trained. In Mumbai, Srikant’s daughter Dhriti is getting close to a boy named Kalyan, not knowing that he is actually a terrorist named Salman.
Episode 5: Homecoming
The investigation gets deeper. Srikant discovers that the rebels are planning something huge called “Operation Zulfiqar 2.0” (or a similar new plan). The rebels, led by Raji and Sajid (the villain from Season 1), move to a secret location. Dhriti’s life is now in serious danger as she spends more time with Salman.
Episode 6: Martyrs
This is the saddest episode of the season. Srikant’s team locates the rebels’ hideout. A huge gunfight happens. (As per Scroll, the action scenes here are brutal and realistic.) During the fight, Srikant’s loyal officer, Milind, is killed. This loss breaks Srikant’s heart and makes the mission personal for him.
Episode 7: Collateral Damage
The story shifts to Mumbai. Srikant finds out that his daughter Dhriti, is missing. He realizes she has been kidnapped by the terrorists to blackmail him. Srikant becomes a desperate father. He uses all his spy skills to track her down. Dhriti, meanwhile, finds out the truth about her boyfriend and fights back violently.
Episode 8: Vendetta
This episode is pure adrenaline. Srikant reaches the warehouse where Dhriti is kept. But before he enters, Dhriti has already killed her kidnapper in a fit of rage. Srikant finds her covered in blood and crying. This is the moment Dhriti finally learns that her father is not a file clerk, but a top spy.
Episode 9: The Final Act
The rebels plan to fly a plane loaded with explosives into the venue where Prime Minister Basu is meeting the Sri Lankan President. Srikant, JK, and the team race against time to stop the plane. They attack the airbase. In the final showdown, Raji is killed, and the plane attack is stopped. Srikant saves the PM.
The Ending: Unanswered Questions
The season ends with Srikant back at home. He has saved the country, but his family life is still complicated. In the last scene, Suchitra is about to tell Srikant something serious (likely about her affair in Lonavala), but the screen cuts to black. (According to Zoom TV, the post-credits scene teases a new threat from China for Season 3).
Opinion & Methodology
Opinion
“Season 2 proved that The Family Man is not a ‘one-hit wonder’. The addition of Samantha as Raji was a masterstroke. It expanded the show’s market to South India, making it a true ‘Pan-India’ OTT blockbuster. The show balances high-stakes action with middle-class problems perfectly. If Season 1 was about establishing the brand, Season 2 was about dominating the Indian digital space. We expect Season 3 to break all viewership records this weekend.”
