This team of misfits is put together by Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Thunderbolts Movie Story

The story is about this group being sent on a dangerous mission and they have to work together, even though they have a lot of problems with each other.
The twist comes when they find out their mission is a trap. They were sent to be eliminated, not to save the day. This betrayal makes them join forces to survive. The film is full of action and dark humour. It shows the characters’ personal struggles too.
Directed by Jake Schreier, “Thunderbolts” got a good response from critics and viewers. It was praised for its script and the chemistry among the cast. Many said it was a good change from recent Marvel films. The movie’s box office numbers were not as high as some other Marvel blockbusters, but its positive reviews made up for it. The film has a rating of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The movie also sets up future stories in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It leaves some things open that will connect to new projects. This includes the series “Ironheart” and the upcoming film “The Fantastic Four: The First Steps.” The team members are also expected to appear in future Avengers movies, like “Avengers: Doomsday.”
