The box office clash that everyone was talking about is now 15 days old. Two of the biggest action movies of the year, Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR’s War 2, were released on the same day. Both films had a lot of hype. A Stronger Start for Coolie and War 2

From the very first day, Coolie took the lead. On Day 1, which was a holiday, it opened with a huge ₹65 crore in India. War 2 also had a great start, but it was behind, collecting around ₹52 crore on its first day. Coolie continued its strong run over the first weekend, making ₹54.75 crore on Day 2 and ₹39.5 crore on Day 3. This gave it a clear lead.

The First Week Numbers – Coolie vs War 2

By the end of the first week, Coolie had already made a big splash. It collected a total of ₹229.65 crore in its first eight days. This was a fantastic number. War 2 also crossed the ₹200 crore mark but was still behind. Its first-week collection stood at ₹204.25 crore. The difference was big. This showed that Rajinikanth’s movie had a better hold on the audience in the first week.

The Second-Week Slowdown of Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR’s War 2

The second week saw a different trend for both films. The collections started to drop.

For Coolie, the daily numbers went down after the first four days. It went from a high of ₹35.25 crore on Sunday to ₹12 crore on Monday. This drop continued throughout the week. Still, it had a decent second weekend, earning ₹10.5 crore on Saturday and ₹11.35 crore on Sunday.

War 2 also saw a sharp drop after its big opening weekend. The numbers fell from ₹32.65 crore on Sunday to just ₹8.75 crore on Monday. The film’s collections in the second week were a lot less than in the first. For example, on its 9th day, War 2 made only ₹4 crore, while Coolie made ₹5.50 crore.

The 16-Day Final Tally

After 15 days, Coolie has managed to keep its lead. Coolie’s 16-day total collection is now around ₹273.69 crore. On the other hand, War 2’s 16-day total collection is ₹231.93 crore. The gap has not closed much.

On the 16th day, both films saw their lowest daily collections. Coolie made an estimated ₹2.19 crore, and War 2 earned an estimated ₹0.68 crore. Both films are now facing competition from new releases, which is affecting their numbers.

Despite the strong opening of the other film, Coolie reached its peak in just 16 days.

Rajinikanth’s films have been doing well and consistently, especially in the first weekend. Despite both films being big-budget and star-studded, Gali maintained its lead, proving that Rajinikanth’s star power is immense in Indian cinema.
