Mumbai — Randeep Hooda is finally back as the savage, no-nonsense UP cop in Inspector Avinash Season 2, set to premiere exclusively on JioHotstar this May 15, 2026. Fans can expect an intense binge session, as all eight episodes are dropping at once.

The main antagonist pushing his buttons this time is a notorious gang leader named Sheikh. He is backed by a chilling, corrupt power broker played to perfection by Zakir Hussain. The action is raw. The drama is heavily personal.
Hooda himself stated that his character is fighting for his survival and his family, making it a much more intense ride.

Urvashi Rautela gets a much meatier, substantial arc this time around, reprising her crucial role as Avinash’s wife. The actress reportedly prepped for nearly two years to get the heavy emotional beats exactly right. She even spent time with the real-life Inspector Avinash’s wife to genuinely nail the fierce resilience of her character.
Director Neerraj Pathak promises that the internal emotional conflict will be just as heavy as the explosive action sequences. The returning cast is also packed with solid heavy-hitters like Amit Sial and Abhimanyu Singh to keep the on-screen tension uncomfortably high.
