The first Wednesday for Do Deewane Seher Mein is showing signs of mid-week fatigue. After a relatively steady Tuesday, the film has faced a noticeable drop in the afternoon shows today.
While the morning started with a tiny positive jump, the afternoon occupancy fell by 36% compared to yesterday. This is common for niche urban films as the initial weekend curiosity starts to fade. The show count has also seen a slight reduction to 1162, as theaters prepare for the upcoming weekend. Even though Mrunal and Siddhant are being praised for their honest acting, the film is struggling to find a large enough audience in the small cities.
Most of the collections are still coming from the urban multiplexes in Mumbai and Delhi. For the film to survive, it really needs to hold its ground tonight and tomorrow. Otherwise, it will find it very difficult to stay in theaters once the new Friday movies release.
