Youth Day 5 Collection
Youth
The “back-benchers” of Tamil Nadu have officially turned this small film into a big winner. After a fantastic Sunday where the movie recorded its highest single-day collection, today is the first real weekday test.
As expected on a Monday, there is a visible drop in the morning and afternoon shows.
Most school and college students are back in their classrooms, which explains the lower occupancy compared to the weekend madness.
However, the film is holding quite well for its budget.
Chennai and Trichy are still seeing decent footfalls in the evening shows. The drop is around 60%, which is very normal for a youth-centric film after a massive Sunday.
The good news is that the show count hasn’t crashed significantly, meaning theater owners still trust the film’s “long-run” potential.
If the night shows in urban centers like Chennai hold steady, Youth will easily cross the โน1.5 Crore mark today. This is a very healthy trend for a movie that has already recovered its costs.
